Winter Solstice and Christmas can be a tough time

Winter Solstice hit me like a Mac truck! I could not function. I was exhausted and had no motivation to get anything done. Winter Solstice is the shortest and darkest day of the year. It is a time for deep reflection and contemplation. What is working and what is not? It is a time to slow down and sit in the darkness.

Even though I knew this, I felt like the walking dead. And, to add insult to injury, my internet and cable were out! I was forced to sit with darkness and silence. I journaled in gratitude for all the goodness in my life. I also wrote about my shortcomings and what I want to improve next year.

I have so much to be grateful for this year! My health has improved 100% from last Christmas! Ayurveda has taken me to a whole new level with habits, eating, routines, and simply remembering who I am and how powerful I am in. (The salads and smoothies were not nearly as healthy as I thought… Who knew!)

Even with all the goodness, I felt sad and angry all day. I kept asking myself why?!! Aside from the fact that I am an Eight on the Enneagram so the go-to emotion is anger…. What is underneath that anger? I kept digging. Then I thought what if I just sit with it and surrender to the feelings instead of trying to fix it or make it go away.

Winter Solstice is a time to slow down and feel all the feels even if they do not feel so good. So if you were feeling that over the past couple of days, it simply means you are in-tune with the universe and your true nature. There is nothing to fix. Just surrender to what is.

Guess what! I got up today went to yoga and have felt unbelievable all day! Like a new person.

The lesson is to just surrender. Letting go and allowing the Universe to hold us.
It is a time for
Rebirth.

What would you like to create in your new life that begins now? You do not have to wait until Jan 1 to begin. You can start today as in right now!

  • Healthy eating habits

  • Exercise

  • Healing Trauma, IBS, Digestive Issues, Thyroid

  • Meditation

  • Journaling

We are the ones we are waiting for! We are so powerful! We can be, do, and have anything we want. It is up to us to show up and heal our mind, body, and spirit.

Here are a few things I am doing this week to prepare for the New Year:

  1. Journaling with gratitude about all the good stuff and reflecting on what is not so good. Be honest with a moral inventory. How can I change it or surrender to it?

  2. Meditating 20 min a day. You say you can’t do it. Bologna! I can teach you. I promise you can do it. It is a skill that you CAN learn! I promise.

  3. Exercising. Move the body even if it is walking or doing some easy stretching. I am running a race tomorrow morning in this crazy cold front! Lawdy, what was I thinking!

  4. Mindful eating. Simply pay attention to how I feel when I eat slowly and add some green leafy veggies and turmeric to a few meals. It is called the golden spice for a reason. My body loves it! I feel like I have found the golden nuggets at the end of the rainbow.

  5. Make a list of adventures, races, or trips or things I would like to experience next year. These are things to look forward to! Get excited about life!

  6. Create a list of what I want to accomplish next year. How will I do it? There is a Rule of 100 hours that says if I practice something for 100 hours in a year, I will master it. That is 16 min a day! What are the things you want to master?

  7. Tell the people around me how much I care and appreciate them — this includes my furry loves. I love my Leo so much! Dogs have so much to teach us. Total unconditional love and living in this moment.

  8. Last but certainly not least, create a solid plan to continue my healing journey. I believe I can only take a client as far as I have gone myself. I make a commitment to myself to continue to heal, so that I may have continue to hold the light for others.

If you are ready to heal your trauma, heal your digestive issues, rid yourself of the depression and anxiety, balance your hormones, heal IBS, and so much more, then let’s get started!

I am offering an end of year Christmas Special that is a savings of $200! 6 sessions for only $699! That is a steal of a deal.

Journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step. Take that step today. Christmas is about believing in miracles. There are miracles everywhere when we slow down enough to see them. Show up for yourself and create space for healing.

So much love to you all. I am so grateful for each one of you! Your comments, feedback, and referrals mean the world to me. My business continues to grow because of you. Thank you for trusting me.

Namaste,

jen
